We provide for those who can't provide for themselves. While our concentration is on the homeless, when we have an event we will serve whoever stands in line. It is our charge to help others. WHO ARE WE?



" B About It Cares" is the brainchild of the founder "B." In 2007 "B" moved from Harlem, NY to Newark, NJ and realized there was a huge homeless population living in and around Newark Penn Station. She decided she wanted to help in some way so she purchased the items necessary to make bologna and cheese sandwiches. That day she made 53 sandwiches and took them down to the station. This small effort was well received. "B" found herself doing this often. In 2010 "B" held her first event down near the station where she provided a hot meal buffet style for the homeless. "B" became known for her service in the area. In 2016 "B" founded this 501c3 public charity called "B About It Cares."



WHAT WE DO



At B About It Cares we do all we can to help those in need. We provide meals, clothing, toiletries and blankets to citizens without permanent addresses and those in need in both NY and NJ. We have a concentration in the area of Newark Penn Station in Newark, NJ and 125th Street in Harlem NY. Newark has the largest homeless population the state of NJ. 


B About It Cares annually hosts two large events for Easter and Thanksgiving and various small events through out the year. Not only is a hot meal provided, but clothes and toiletries are handed out as well. Throughout the year B About It Cares distributes socks, book bags, food and toiletries. During the winter months when the temperature drops below zero B About It Cares can be found handing out blankets, long johns, hats, gloves and scarves around the station. 



MISSION



It is our duty and charge to pick those up who have fallen down. We vigorously promote the fact that homeless people are human too and should be treated as such.



VISION



It is our hope that by providing food, toiletries, clothing, training and whatever else a homeless person needs they will find themselves in a better circumstance. Our vision is to see them from the streets into permanent housing. Eradication of homelessness in all urban areas of New Jersey and New York would be ideal.
